We don’t just train out students, we find and prepare them for a job. Our intense certificate programs train and groom our students for success.

Most of our students are missionaries who have completed their mission and are looking for an exciting, rewarding careers in AI occupations or IT. We know how hard missionaries work to hone their skills during their mission and we believe their ability to focus on achieving goals will make them highly successful in life.

Professor Robert Walz

Chief Learning Officer, Founder, and Professor

Professor Robert Walz is a distinguished figure at Summit AI, serving as the Chief Learning Officer, Founder, and Professor. With a firm belief in the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace, he is dedicated to educating individuals on harnessing AI's vast opportunities. As a key contributor to Summit AI, Professor Walz brings both his expertise and personal charisma to life in the courses he presents.

In addition to course presentation, Professor Walz plays a pivotal role in crafting Summit AI's content, leveraging AI tools to ensure cutting-edge educational materials. His focus extends beyond the classroom, where he actively contributes to advancing Summit AI's business initiatives.

As an Associate Teaching Professor at BYU, Professor Walz has been instrumental in shaping the educational landscape since 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from BYU, graduating in 1982. With a career rooted in journalism and marketing, Professor Walz has accumulated extensive practical experience, accelerating business development for numerous clients.

Professor Walz's journalistic journey began as the weekend anchor at KIVI television in Boise, Idaho, followed by 15 years as a reporter and anchor at KSL-Television upon returning to Utah in 1984. His contributions also extend to KTVX Channel 4, where he has left an indelible mark as a reporter for Utah's ABC 4 News.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Professor Walz exemplifies a commitment to philanthropy and media outreach. His humanitarian efforts include coverage of hurricane Ivan's aftermath in the Cayman Islands, as well as hands-on assistance in Malawi, Africa, and Peru, where he contributed to the distribution of relief supplies and medical assistance. Notably, his group's efforts along the Amazon River involved building facilities for schools, showcasing a dedication to global outreach and community development.

Professor Dr. Jessica D. Zurcher, Ph.D.

Professor and Researcher

As one of the professors of of Summit AI, Dr. Jessica D. Zurcher is dedicated to shaping the future of marketing through the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI). Her belief in AI's potential to revolutionize marketing fuels her role as a trailblazer, both in writing and teaching. Dr. Zurcher is committed to empowering marketing executives to thrive as field experts by harnessing the capabilities of AI in their professional endeavors.

Beyond her leadership at Summit AI, Dr. Zurcher is an accomplished educator, serving as an associate professor at BYU, where she imparts knowledge in communication and marketing. With a Ph.D. in Communications from the University of Utah, an M.A. in Mass Communications from Brigham Young University, and a B.S. from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Theatre and Speech Education (with a minor in English), Dr. Zurcher brings a wealth of academic expertise to her roles.

Her research interests span across new media, education, and family communication, as evidenced by her publications in prestigious journals like Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, as well as The Journal of Children and Media. Dr. Zurcher's influence extends to national and international communication conferences, where she has presented her insights.

In addition to her distinguished career in higher education, Dr. Zurcher has made a significant impact in secondary education, developing and implementing curriculum for various subjects, including introductory and advanced theatre classes, English, film, and public speaking. Her passion for teaching resonates across a spectrum of students, from middle school to graduate level.

Daniel Steneker

Founder and Chairman

Daniel Steneker is a seasoned technology business professional with business skills developed over 40 years in the technology and education industries. He has extensive experience on five continents. His work has taken him to over 60 countries and to over 250 major cities.

He led the creation of a world class project to define 80 job skill certification tracks and 1,200 standardized job profiles with the specific skills and knowledge needed for each profile. The work involved more than 250 technologists and subject matter experts. It was used to access over 500,000 workers in all 50 US states.

Has worked with Presidents of major national Universities, corporate executives of Fortune 500 companies, private business owners and technology entrepreneurs. He has a First Class Honors B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia. He applied for, advised on and gained patents in diverse technologies such as data transmission and optimization algorithms, to visualization and quantifying job applicant skills.

He earned a prestigious award by Business in Vancouver magazine – only awarded to exceptional business people under the age of 40. Mr. Steneker received the award for building a global maritime telecommunications company at the age of only 35.

He co-founded the Disability Training Institute in collaboration with the head of the American Association of People with Disabilities. Along with his co-founder, Mr. Steneker was invited to the White House, to discuss the implementation of online educational programs to retrain vets returning from war with serious injuries.

Built and deployed the technology that was used to assess and/or train over 100,000 workers per year in all 50 US states, supported by a network of 450 regional centers.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, Mr. Steneker rapidly dispatched a team to the area. In the aftermath of the hurricane in difficult conditions this team operated out of trailers using laptops and mobile online technology to retrain over 8,000 people into new jobs in collaboration with the Salvation Army. Tens of thousands of others were provided job skills advice. Under Mr. Steneker’s guidance more workers were retrained and advised in a short span of months than the total number of people assisted by all other organizations during this difficult time.
